The advantage is that you can have all 3 oscillators using samples in 3 velocity layers. Another option, which is not too difficult to learn, is to create presets from samples of instruments, keyboards, or sample packs you may already have. Also adjusting the FX used can help tailer a sound to the piece you are working on. You can adjust the attack/decay/sustain/release to change the character of how the samples play.

The IAP offer a good chance to tailer the sounds by tweaking paramaters. You say you are not a sound designer, but I think that all electronic musicians should be familiar with the basics. I highly recommend that you take another look at the IAP presets. Sound quality is very subjective, and any preset can be very good or not very good for a particular project. Is there any way to get high quality sounds in NS2 ? So i would like to get sounds ready to play. I am only a user, not a sound programmer. The SF2, SFZ can me manually add to the sampler but it is lots of work with lots of Sounds.
